Local men to be lauded for weight loss through TOPS

Ken Tatro and Bob Spencer are shown after receiving a TOPS certificate from Nancy Marks, TOPS area captain of Northern California, recognizing their loss of weight. Tatro has lost 51 pounds and Spencer, after having a bariatric sleeve procedure, lost 155 pounds in the last 33 weeks. Both men will be honored at the TOPS California State Recognition Days on June 8-9 in Visalia, where they will be competing against others in their division to become a state winner. The local TOPS 1711 group meets at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday at the Methodist church. There are 59 members and 10 who have reached their goal, which is set by their primary care doctor. Dottie Klein is the leader.
